Brazil is the new hotbed of tape artists…
We are amazed at the number of artists who have joined the tape art in recent years in Brazil … and that is something that excites us. It seemed that the tape art, yes!, it was born in the United States at the end of the 80s, but really where it has excelled has been in Europe and specifically in the Nordic countries and in Germany. But as it’s an easy art to love, it quickly spread to other countries in Europe such as Spain or Italy and other continents.
Brazil is proof of that. We already know the tape artist Marina Rodrigues, Marcos Behrens, Murilo Cenovicz or the duo Do all Tape (Jully and João) and today we present two women who want to join this list of friends of tape art in Brazil:
They are Thaís Bulhões and Que Fita:
Thaís resides in Recife and its name is “magadasfitas”. It has a fun, spontaneous, figurative and very unique style. We really like your work and your sympathy.
Que Fita has also ventured to start developing her art through tape art and with her social networks she helps us to make it known.
Congratulations to both of us and we welcome you and we want to know much more about you from now on … do not stop doing tape art and … of sharing it with us.
Long live the tape!
